Roseira Farm is located in Lambari, Serra da Mantiqueira, Minas Gerais, a region renowned for its specialty coffee and home to the Perpetual Indication Seal, ensuring origin authenticity. With 1,200 MASL altitude, mountainous terrain, and a unique climate, the farm thrives in producing exceptional coffees.
Farmers Leda & Jose Edvaldo started their journey after receiving land from a farm they once worked on. For 20 years, they’ve focused on sustainable coffee cultivation, preserving natural springs and forests while fostering a tight-knit community of small-scale growers.
They carefully handpick Red Catuai, Mundo Novo, and Yellow Bourbon cherries at peak ripeness, drying them naturally under the sun. This meticulous process enhances the coffee’s rich, fruity flavours and body.
In 2020, with Southland’s support, they built their own processing facility, allowing them to fully process their coffees on-site. “Southland has become a very important partner to us,” says Leda.
